My trainer inspired me to challenge myself, without pushing myself too far. Now, three months later, I lost excess weight and feel comfortable again in my own body. My stamina has improved and I can now hike pretty long distances and keep up with my friends. From couch potato to sportsman... certainly, I wouldn't have gotten this far without training.
In addition, the training provides an accessible way to socialize and to get in touch with like-minded others.

I couldn't manage to motivate myself to exercise. De Lopers van Lunetten provided the opportunity to exercise in my own neighbourhood, which removed a major barrier for me. I also liked to train together with other people. The slow build up of the training intensity allowed me to increase my stamina in a sustainable way.

Already after a few weeks I was able to run longer distances. This spurred me to train a second time each week. Besides running, the training comprises exercises for increasing general fitness and injury prevention. This is a nice variation and a great addition to the endurance training. Lastly, periodically discussing my training goals with my trainer ensures that my needs are met.
